Fatbox.moe

Since Catbox Blocks Tor.

This site allows anonymous users to access files uploaded to the popular service catbox.moe. To use it, simply replace any files.catbox.moe link with files.fatbox.moe Litterbox is now litter.fatbox.moe. You can also use the Tor hidden service by replacing files.catbox.moe with fatbox2l6yq4zwwf34k4xmusmr4egzc4qgistj5yemlkaal7ep4itjqd.onion (or litter.[...]).

Since Catbox blocks Tor on the firewall level, people using Tor are unable to access Catbox. Disturbingly, the method Catbox uses to block Tor results in an infinite loading screen, which may bait less careful users into de-anonymizing themselves.

UPDATE: The Catbox admin has finally responded to this issue, confirming that he "implemented a firewall level block of the Tor network". Regarding his decision, he states, "for the longevity of the website (and until I can figure out a better solution), it's the one that has to stick."

He was sent a bash script that generates nginx geo blocks for Tor exits and an nginx config that would allow him to block only uploads, with no modification to the site's software. As far as we know he never responded, and this has not been implemented yet, despite it clearly being a "better solution".

We're unaware why he wouldn't implement this immediately, since the whole solution was delivered to him. But whatever the reason, his assurance that "I appreciate you creating a service that allows people to access files still" means Fatbox is unlikely to be blocked by Catbox, and we won't have to route requests through random proxies.

Fatbox.moe does not host any content, nor can you upload files to Fatbox. Fatbox is an alternative front-end which provides connectivity to Catbox for users who are unable to access the main service. This functions similarly to privacy tools like Nitter and Piped. If you find abusive or illegal content accessible through Fatbox, you are implored to make a report to admin@catbox.moe.

No Relation to Catbox

We have absolutely no association with or relation to Catbox.moe or its operator. You can tell, because we don't block Tor.
